Debating about moving Pahala Shore from Freewebs to Blogger.
Blogger: Pros (P)/Cons (C)
-P: Can predate the episodes and they will publish automatically. No more forgetting to publish an episode.
-P: Easier to create episodes in each post
-C: Hard to format a complete website.
Freewebs: Pros (P)/Cons (C)
-P: Just moved to the site from Geocities, another move would mean more redirecting traffic
-C: Site becoming laggy and tedious to update

Pahala Shore Filming
Filming has started for season seven. We celebrated episode #50 with the season finale and we already have plans for episode #100, but that's a few years away.
The new characters are in make-up and wardrobe, we have to refilm some scenes as we decided upon a new hairstyle for one of the characters. The set is complete for this season, we'll add new sets as we see fit.
The first three episodes of the season are filmed, I'm considering reshoting a scene sequence to show the action and not just having a retell of the event. We just have to get a car on set.
The cast and crew have a short break for the holidays and then it's back to work. Also, some photos of the set, so viewers can see the "mini-Pahala". The set is in three levels. The first level is the urban setting, the downtown of Pahala. The second level is the suburban beach setting, all the beach homes are here and the last level is the beach, for those scenes near the ocean (which we need to write more of those in. How could they not be at the beach when they live in Pahala...)

Logos
I've been entertaining some possible logo designs for the three new shows. Claudia and Tatiana's shows have been tested and perform well in the test market, however we need to finalize the logo and intro sequences
. We also need to put thier shows in the market, we're considering joining with Simmerville Studio to offer the cooking series.

Pre-Production Season Seven
There are several changes in the works for Pahala Shore. The writers and I have been in meetings all day long and we're reworking the plots to accomadate the many changes. Viewers will welcome a new set of characters to the show. One character is brand new-but the actress is not-while the other two have been on the sidelines and will now start recieving thier own storylines. This will help broaden Erika's social life now that Lani has left Pahala to persue outside opportunities. Later on, perhaps 2010 or 2011, viewers will see another set of new characters. But enough about that.
With the new storylines and introduction of characters this season, we're adding new sets and expanding our wardrobe budget. The cast has started to recieve thier new looks and are in make-up and wardrobe going over the changes. Here's hoping to another great season!

Pahala Shore
The set is becoming rather bulky and hard to navigate around. The idea of having all the sets on one location seemed like a good idea, but I think we will have to modify this idea, especially next season. Perhaps leasing a bigger lot and having actual buildings built along with the sets for exterior shots. A miniature Pahala Shore. We'll see how it goes.
Filming is going well, we're working against the clock with editing episodes and filming scenes and rewriting scripts. There are still a lot of surprises in store for this season and I've been lurking around the discussion boards to see what fans have been saying. Otherwise, been busy with brainstorming the next couple of seasons and keeping up with the rest of my businesses.

SimBachelor
Been reviewing old episodes of SimBachelor and that was such a great concept and show. Low overhead, quick filming, perfect. I think I will revive the show later this year. I know that some of the Apple Valley residents will be in need of a spouse, so perhaps they will be willing to have thier search for a spouse recorded for TV. Perhaps changing the name to Single Sim so either male or females can star.
Instead of filming the series on Apple Valley-there's no room there at all-the contestants could travel to a vacation home and experience the show there. 7 simdays of drama, 4 contestants, 1 Single Sim, very nice show indeed.
Simday 3-Elimination #1 & Challenge #1 (winner of challenge gets dinner alone with star)
Simday 4-Single Dates (highest scoring date gets extra 3 hours with star)
Simday 5-Elimination #2 & Challenge #2 (winner of challenge gets dinner alone with star)
Simday 6-Love Shack (8 hours in Love Shack)
Simday 7-Final Elimination

Apple Valley's Yummy Channel
I have brought the rights to Apple Valley's Yummy Channel. So the shows that Pennelson Productions (TV Group) produces will aire there. So far the lineup includes: Cooking with Claudia; Tatiana's Tidbits; and Cocktails & Chad. We're working on the logos and producing the final shows-the pilot shows proved successful, so we're going to revamp things and start making some money.

Pahala Shore
Filming is going well, we are doing another intense filming session. We added to the cast-Lucy Bright, a contestant on "Make Me A Model" and Gloria Fardage. Right now thier roles are still small, but there are plans to make thier storylines larger.
We are also losing a cast member permenantly and another one-for an extended time period. I won't say which is which, since sometimes there is room for them to come back and other times thier future storylines die (or get extended).
The series is changing slightly, I'm not sure how to describe it, but the episodes formats are different. Scene changes are not as arupt, characters are developing more and with the smaller cast, we can show more details in a story instead of just telling them in order to move things along. I admit, it is hard not to jump ahead, especially when we have storylines streaching to 2011 and threatening to go beyond that. So at least there will be a soap for the cast...as long as they are willing to work and I am willing to keep them :)

Buying More Rights
Have been thinking about investing in a gossip magazine. Perhaps hosting the magazine and using journalists to collect information-much like STAR, but STAR has been absent from the scene for a few months. Perhaps I should contact Nadine and offer to buy the rights to the magazine and continue it. With PS airing monthly, thus giving me more time to invest in other projects, I think a monthly magazine would be good. There are some cons since most of the information would depend on roving eye journalists, so there would be a very tight production schedule to get things out monthly. However, if we stocked up on celebrity interviews, it could work. Perhaps publishing the magazine six times a year and selling ad space as well. Can you imagine full page ads of the best products in SimNation?
Speaking of ads, Make Me a Model has also been absent for a while. I should ask about buying the rights to that as well.

Pahala Shore
We had a writing meeting to reorder some storylines for the next couple of episodes. Filming has started and we're gaining another cast member. We have to get them through make-up and costumes first. They'll only make a few cameo appreances this season, as will our other new cast member, until we can get thier stories worked in.
Filming is going well, I must comment on Josie Harlow. We filmed a scene in which normally calm Donna gets upset and Josie nailed it on the first take. It was perfect! Unthinkable! I am glad that we're combining some experienced talent with some newer faces. It gives the stories more dimension.
We're also getting ready to say goodbye to another cast member. I think fans will be shocked when they see who it is, but hopefully then critics and fans will see that not ne character is safe on the show and that there is no such thing as an irreplacable "star". The cast member didn't do anything professionally, but we both decided that the character should leave and this gives the cast member time to persue another direction in thier career.

A. Pentragnani
A. Pentragnani has seven models now and I'm itching to do another photo shoot. I have hired a higher caliber photographer and would like to give the site an overhaul, but a behind the scenes overhaul. The website needs to reflect the fact that A. Pentragnani is now an upscale wedding attire fashion house and nothing more. The dresses need to be packed more effeciently and the associated meshes as well. I have a proposal for a custom dress, so this will become a new collection: The Yoo Collection, Far East inspired bridal attire.

Pahala Shore
Pahala Shore is going along nicely, another episode was edited and sent to the network. The network has been having issues with airing the shows, many viewers can not see the show. I will have to keep an eye on the network for any issues. *sigh*

Pennelson Inc.
I have incorperated all the businesses under one mother company: Pennelson, Inc. The website is being revamped to show this. Basically all the Pennelson projects and companies can be found in one easy location. Pennelson Inc contains SiMusic; Pennelson Productions (with it's Studio Group and Television Group); A.Pentragnani; and Pennelson Publishing. I have big plans for each company-which won't start until the second half of the year.

Most of the work is branding and marketing. Once that is complete, then more creative work can be done. There is quite a few RL issues happening the first half of the year so most of the projects are being pushed to the second half of the year.

Pahala Shore Writing
Pahala Shore 2008 has started filming and quite a few episodes are complete and edited. I must admit that I am excited about this season and I find it hard to wait bewteen writing meetings. The characters are growing a bit more and the cast has even remarked that they have been stretched in thier profession. We'll be losing some cast members as well-but we're also gaining more cast members. With the new airing schedule, the storylines have been changed slightly and also some of the cast members wanted to go in other directions in thier life.

Website Renovations
Been working with the web team to revamp the Pahala Shore site, not by much, mostly some organizational changes. Season 5's episodes are all on one page for ease and space saving. We might have to upgrade soon if things get too full.

Working Behind the Scenes
The new sets are almost complete, we're currently trying to find extras to appear in some of the episodes. This 2008 season will have quite a few extras, so we're hiring locals from the island to fill the roles.

PR and Advertising
Part of our budget is now going for advertising. There are now some outlets for my projects to be promoted, so the staff is sending out various ads and commercials to different media outlets including other websites. We'll see if the ratings increase.
