Slipping

Things are slipping away from me.

The editing crew is behind schedule with Pahala Shore-they only have one episode edited for this month. It's time for me to crack the whip and lock the door and make them stay late to finish the editing.

Sent out memos for the next Gloria Show episode

Thinking about contracting the photo shoot out for A.Pentrigani since I need more models and a photo shoot idea. Yikies-where's my assistant-they have so much work to do!

Slow

Business is slow-Pahala Shore episodes have been sent to editing, this month will be a busy month for me-a lot of out of town trips to check on projects and possible projects. Need to film one more Gloria Show episode for this year and three more of PS. A.Pentrigani doesn't have anymore projects for a while-thank goodness the wedding season has slowed-that gives us more time to focus on the photo shoot for the website. The holiday season is fast approaching and RL will get pretty hetic, until then must charge ahead.

Pahala Shore

Pahala Shore has premired, I like the new set-up from the network, a lot easier to manage and edit.


The Gloria Show might aire an episode this week and then perhaps another one in November. I must call the editing department so they won't get behind on the episodes of Pahala Shore.


I might take another much needed break.

Progress!

Yes! Yes! Yes!

Finally some progress! I was so pleased that I gave myself the day off!

The first two episodes of Pahala Shore are edited and on thier way to the network as I type, same thing for two episodes of The Gloria Show. We had to do some shuffling around of Gloria Show since some guests didn't show on time. But all in all-things are great!

Thinking of doing a subscriber list for guests to see when new episodes aire...we'll see, right now a swedish massage is calling my name.

New Airing Format from the Network

I sat down with the network and worked out an airing format that will make both parties happy.



Pahala Shore will be picked up for 16 episodes a fiscal year (8 each season). The new format is effection this season which will start Sept 07-Dec 07, with the next season being Jan 08-Apr 08. Hiatus will be May-Aug each year.



The Gloria Show will be picked up for 8 episodes a fiscal year. One every other month starting in February each year with two wildcard episodes aired in the summer or any other time deemed appropiate.



This means that I need to sit with the writers and re-work this season's episode guide to condense it from 10 to 8 episodes. The major storylines that we need to end this season will still end and salaries will remain the same...for now.

STAR

A journalist came by from STAR to do an interview-he wanted to take photos of me, I quickly set him straight upon his desires. I did give him an interview-but it was cut short by his nosy questions.



I was a bit angered by the interview and visited the Gloria Show set. We did some amazing amounts of work-filmed three episodes, now they simply need editing-in fact-we're going to aire one next week.

Also Pahala Shore's set need to produce some more stills for the upcoming episodes-especially since we want the season to start in September and push out ten episodes by December. Speaking of which-we need to work on the next season's storylines so we can get those sets built and start filming stills for that as well. Need to rearrange the season's-right now there are ten episodes a season (Aug-Dec/Jan-May)-two episodes a month (20 episodes a fiscal year), done as best as they can to reflect real time. Some new options:

• Monthly airing of episodes (12 episodes a fiscal year)


• Reduced Season Length from 10 months to 8 months with two episodes a month (16 episodes a fiscal year)

I like that last option-8 months of episodes with two episodes a month. Sept-Dec and again in Jan-Apr-however that gives a large gap in bewteen when fans don't have any Pahala Shore. I need to look at the production company's overall output-fans may get something from PP each month, but not always the same thing.

Finally

A complete episode of Pahala Shore has been filmed, it's going to the editing room soon. We had to film around a few cast members due to the Vanderburg-Garris wedding.

The finale of Adventures needs to be edited and shipped-I've decided to persue the Adventures mini-series for another year-so next summer (2008) audiences can expect to see another mini-series. That mini-series will be five episodes only. We'll see if we keep the same cast or storyline.

The Gloria Show is going well, have a few episodes in the pipeline that need some work.

A.Pentragnani needs a lot of work-restructing actually. The online store isn't very user friendly-we're in the process of moving to another server and more user friendly site.

Thank goodness for my assistant-even if he is a lazy bum-otherwise I don't know how I'd keep track of all my projects. Where is that badger anyway?

Fashion House

Time is moving slow in Apple Valley which usually means I can get more work out of the cast and crew in the studio.

The third episode of Adventures aired and we have a contest going on about winning a dream wedding. Speaking of weddings, A.Pentragnani is going well. I like the direction the company is taking with the "I Do" line of wedding attire. It needs to be reorganized and we need better shots for the clothing. We would need a couple of models to pose for the current collection, plus all the other gowns we have since then. It's still mostly a commission based line, but the "rejects" are still valuable. Just wrapped up the Sazo Kente collection for the bride and groom, need to start work on the Jadhira collection (she needs a complete gown & groom's attire), as well as completing the Jolie collection (she needs the groom's attire and I think some flower girl dresses would round out the collection nicely). I wonder if we should take the time and create a nice website for A.Pentragnani. The updates are occasional...at best-the only reason there are so many updates now is because of the demand for ethnic/custom wedding wear. It would be nice to update the fashion house quarterly...that should give plenty of time for designing, compiling and supplying the local demand (which by looking at the engagement annoucements won't let up soon).

Updates...Again

Need to buckle the crew down and get some work done-will try to film the remaining Pahala Shore scenes so editing can start on that-also, edit the final Adventures episodes. The Gloria Show has two episodes in the pipeline for filming and editing. To make matters worse-we are going to have limited filming time for the next season of Pahala Shore...we might have to film even more episodes in advance and shot them through the network's pipeline early if we want to maintain a twice monthly schedule...or revert to a once monthly schedule. There are questions about the future of The Gloria Show as well since it operates on a more up-to-the minute basis. We might have to look at the scheduling and make some changes for 2008 and beyond...or else cancel all the series, which would be unfortunate and the very very very last option-hey I have to eat too!

Filming for Pahala Shore is going along well, especially considering that most of the cast is involved in the Garris-Vanderburg wedding. Adventures of a Bride is still in editing and because of that, we're going to premire Pahala Shore later once all the AoB episodes are aired.

Pahala Shore has started filming, Adventures of a Bride is in editing (one episode is ready for shipment) and we have an episode of The Gloria Show filmed. The two weeks of work I thought would happen isn't going as planned, so far we've only had one day of pure work and most of the cast is...lazy. I might have to start threatening paycuts.

Two Weeks

We have two weeks to film the first episodes of Pahala Shore and edit the Adventures episodes. The cast is flying in Sunday evening for filming and we're going to do another marathon filming session to get some of the episodes mapped out and sent to editing. Not sure how we will combine the Gloria Show, Adventures of a Bride and Pahala Shore each month. We might have to aire Adventures instead of Gloria Show as it seems like all the odds and ends are not coming together for filming. We have some guests but not all of them, that will be fine. We need to send out feelers for upcoming episodes in the next week or two.

Rolling

Things are rolling, I've petitioned and recieved a request for more time to be spent with the studio and crews-also more money. We did a marathon filming session for Adventures. It was funny, the cast had to consult little signs outside each scene's set to verify what shot they were doing and wardrobe and make-up were very busy with changing the looks of the cast. But it was worth it. We got the next two episodes filmed, we need to film the final episode and I need to decide if one of the episodes mapped out will be staying. I don't think it's worth having an entire episode for the topic, but it's funny. Maybe as a short scene.

The writers are working on the scripts for Pahala Shore, which should be done today. Then we're going to film the final episodes of Adventures and start construction for Pahala Shore.

Adventures and Work

The first episode of Adventures is online, the first book from Pennelson Publishing is online and I've realized that the company may have bitten off more than it can chew. Construction has started at the Pahala Shore studio and scripts are being sent out to the cast soon. Filming begins the last week of July so we can start airing episodes in August for the next season. I've signed up to work with the second season of Make Me a Model and apparently I've become addicted to to-do-lists.

MMAM

MMAM finally aired the episode with the A.Pentragnani wedding gowns-I must say, the models left have a lot of talent. I can't say too much more about what I think about them due to copyright issues with the show :

I'm determined to crank out an episode of Adventures. I have one taped, but there is still the issue of will I film the prequel first...hmm, probably not, now it's coming down to the wire and I need to have something on the airwaves or else the advertisers won't give up thier dollars.

The Gloria Show is in need of another episode as well, the crew has contacted several sims, but we only have partial committments for some and for others we need thier flights so we can begin filming. Perhaps we'll just do a random celebrity interview...hmmm, I'll send out some feelers.

Pennelson Publishing will have a book out by July, we're waiting on another submission and we're still working with the Grey estate to purchase her memoirs that she wrote before her death.

Adventures

I had a brainstorm, now the Adventures will be a trilogy: Adventures of a Bridesmaid will aire first, but that means a complete script rewrite. Thankfully we won't need too many more actors, only one male in fact. I will have my assistant email the cast with revised contracts.

Behind/Above

Behind schedule, above budget. That's how AoB is looking. We filmed the first episode, but editing is taking forever and we need to find a host. Looks like the summer mini-series won't quite be a summer mini-series. I suppose it's not too bad if it aires this fall.

Pennelson Publishing is doing well, getting ready to release an autobiography and trying to cut a contract for the Starr Grey memoirs.

The Gloria Show will aire this month, hopefully we can get an AoB episode this month, or at least next month.

Hiatus

Pahala Shore's finale aired this week. We're going to start shipping episodes of Adventures of a Bride soon. The number of episodes may vary, but we'll see. My tech team is looking into changing host sites for Pahala Shore and the AoB. I've been tired lately, perhaps I need some good gossip.

Completion

The last episode of Pahala Shore is edited and we're shipping it to the network today. We filmed the first episode of Adventures and that needs editing as well. The filming is going differently from the way I planned, but I think it's better this way. We moved a scene from the first epiosde to the second episode and we changed some of the character personalities. We had to break for some wardrobe deliveries and then we'll start filming the second episode soon.

My trip to Italia was nice, a bit busier than usual, but relaxing. The familia and business is doing well. The designs for Tatiana's collection are underway and are progressing. We have two additional orders for collections: The Jodi Collection which is a more gothic alternative collection and the Giselle Collection which will be more country inspired. We've been collecting patterns and meshes and putting them in the store. We're going to add the designs soon...as soon as we get some photos taken.

From the Shore to Adventures

The last episode of Pahala Shore is filmed and the cast is released from duty. The editing crew is working on the episode and the sketches for the scripts for Adventures are complete. The cast had been patient with the pre-production process (it all pays the same so they better suck it up)and they have been doing read-thrus of the scripts. Construction will start soon for the sets of Adventures. We're gathering the patterns for the A.Pentragnani sets. In fact, they just finished a collection called "Retro Pirate" Going to Italia this weekend to check on the familia. I love these monthly jaunts. It's good to get away from the bumbling idoits surrounding me.
